The reason these flying lanterns are ecological is because the metal wire holding the fuel in place has been replaced with an ECO friendly Flame-Retardant string. The new material is ECO friendly and Bio-degradable. ECO Lanterns are environmentally friendly and do not endanger the well being of animals.

Once airborne, they will fly for 15-20 minutes and can rise over a mile high whilst being visible to a whole multitude of people. In Chinese culture, it is believed that wishes written on the lanterns will rise up to the heavens and become true. The flight will end when all the fuel has burnt and the flame subsides. As the air in the lantern cools, it will gently float to the ground.
